We absolutely loved the cleanliness and charm of the hotel, where every room exuded character and provided a spacious, inviting atmosphere. The breakfast was cooked to perfection, with generous portions and attentive service that made our mornings delightful.

The cleanliness and charming old features added to the overall character, while the breakfast options were excellent, especially the vegetarian full English. The location couldn't be better, with lovely walks available right from our door, including a scenic route to Ambleside and easy access to transport for other attractions like Helvellyn. Plus, the cozy log fire and great selection of real ales made our evenings delightful.

The location was fantastic for walking, with beautiful trails right outside the door. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Breakfast was delicious, offering a wide variety. Watching the badgers at night was a delightful bonus!
