9.4/10
The room was large and comfortable, with a nice fresh bathroom. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond by offering us food despite our late arrival. The breakfast menu had great choices and showed that there was a skilled chef in the kitchen. The property itself was beautiful and well-maintained, recently renovated to maintain its historic charm. The location just outside the city was peaceful and perfect for a stopover when traveling further south.

We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff at the hotel and enjoyed the lovely ambience of the inn. The traditional yet not dated bar and restaurant offered a great selection of beers. The room was spacious, cosy, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The location exceeded our expectations and we had a fantastic 6k walk through fields, forests, and country lanes in the serene surroundings of this beautiful place.
