We loved the hotel's location just on the SE shore of Derwent Water, which allowed us easy access to beautiful walks right from the doorstep, and the dog-friendly atmosphere was a huge plus for us. The breakfast was delightful, especially the full English with perfectly poached eggs, and we enjoyed watching small birds at the feeders outside the dining area, adding a lovely touch to our mornings. The staff were incredibly accommodating, offering us a room upgrade with a view at no extra cost.
